Broadband take-up by small businesses rises

Posted on October 16, 2003 at 04:10 PM in Australia | Permalink

According to The Age, nearly 50% of all Australian small businesses that are on line are using broadband & almost 50% of businesses using dial up are intending to move to broadband within the next 12 months.

This is a good sign that Australian business is understanding the value of having a fast, reliable net connection. It also may force Telstra to upgrade it's exchanges to support ADSL sooner. It's also a good sign for web designers, as the more people that have access to fast internet, the more content you can put on websites, like video streaming and large file downloads.
